Why We Do What We Do In The Assessors Office

The primary duties and responsibility of the Assessor's Office is to assess all taxable real and personal property within the county each calendar year. This includes residential, commercial and agriculture classes of property. The Assessor's Office functions on a four-year revaluation cycle, which means each property within the county is visually inspected at least once every 4 years.
